Round #4 was one of the most unique races on the 2017 R/C Monster Truck Challenge Points Series, as this month the monsters did battle on a two jump PENDA style straight drag. The track was designed to mimic the straight drag tracks of the early to mid 90's on the PENDA Monster Truck series and the teams and drivers absolutely loved it. The racing was door to door all day long, with Derrick Algieri's Black Stallion grabbing the top qualifying spot. Derrick always noted that straight drags were his weakness but not today, not only by being the top quailfier but taking Black Stallion all the way to the finals to race his own truck, Sudden Impact in the finals. Stallion grabbed the big event win and a second place with Sudden Impact gave Derrick the 1st and 2nd place in the points standings. Dan's Grave Digger finished 3rd today to keep the heat on the top spot. The points have shaken up yet again in what is continuing to be our most competitive season's ever.
