The 5th and final round of the 2015 RC Monster Truck Challenge Points Series was ready to rock and roll September 26th and the track officials brought out a great one for this year's Points Finale..the Crossover track!! The top monsters in the standings were on hand to battle it out one last time for the championship. Higher Education had a small lead heading into the event and right from the drop of the first green flag, it was ON!!
The awesome crossover track prodvided fantastic racing all day. Trucks were jumping over each other, pulling off some fast sideways turns and grabbing some big time air. The rounds were spread out over several different trucks such as Ragin' Steel, Sudden Impact, Higher Education and Bigfoot. It was the Lucas Oil Crusader standing out at the end of the day, grabbing the win for the Round #5 racing event, With Ragin Steel finishing second and Grave Digger third and rounding out the podium. The real interesting story was the season championship standings, which left Higher Education and Bigfoot TIED for first place!!! The RCMTC had to go to the first tie breaker, which is most events won during the season. With 2 events won against one event win by Bigfoot back in round 1, it was HIGHER EDUCATION grabbing the championship!!! The tie in points was a testament to how close and competitive the racing was all season long, the new points format really showed to be orgainzed, fair, and exciting!! It was another great championship for the CPE Terminator Chassis, as the chassis took #1 and #2 in season points. It's been an amazing year for this points series and we can't thank everyone enough and have some pretty exciting ideas for the points series next year in 2016. Thanks to Chris at RC Madness for a top notch racing facility year in and year out as Madness has been a great host to the RCMTC Points Series over the years.
