Right from the get go it was clear that racing was going to be exciting the whole day, and it was. Rookie Abdul Rascoe with Big Red made a big statement in the opening round. After winning his first round race he then moved on to the second bracket round to defeat the current points leader AMSOIL Shock Therapy, followed by maximum destruction and beating revolution in the finals to win the first round of the day! Big Red showed a ton of horsepower and was catching big air all the way down the track. Red was not able to repeat the feat the following round, however the Slayer stepped up. Slayer made it to a ifnal round however was defeated by Shock Therapy. Brian Wood was experiencing rear drive problems with Taz but was able to pick up a final round win while sub driving the Revolution truck for the absent Keith Wood. Kyle D got a round win with the Airforce Afterburner, and was on a roll with the CPE Maximum Destruction. Max D's terminator chassis was working great down the track all day and managed to pick up two round wins enroute to the truck's first event win. Dan D brought home the CPE AMSOIL Shock Therapy with a second place win, and Brian Wood rounded off the podium with a third place finish. \Round 2 is officially in the books, the first two rounds of the NY RCMTC have been full of awesome racing and awesome competitions and with two points events remaining in the season, it's really shaping up to get even BIGGER!! To close out the event 5 trucks (Big Red, Slayer, AMSOIL Shock Therapy, Revolution, Donkey Kong) put on exhibition freestyle runs.
