For the first time ever the WRAM Show has moved into its brand new location, the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, New Jersey. The MEC just a stone's throw away from the 2012 Superbowl Champion New York Giants will play host to one of the biggest R/C conventions on the east coast. The show was full of R/C vendor booths, featuring everything from hardware to full size ready to run r/c planes and cars and everything in between. Fans attending the show also had the pleasure of checking out some awesome static displays featuring some of the wildest and most detailed r/c plane, boat and car models around. This year even featured a big pool with live boat demostrations! as well as flying stunt planes and of course, the racetrack. Bruckner Hobbies brought in a great setup this year which would feature some stellar R/C drift car competitions, as well as the big and bad boys of the R/C Monster Truck Challenge. The monster trucks today would compete in what would be called the RCMTC Winter Wars Freestyle Madness. Due to the format with the drift cars as well, the trucks would perform exhibition freestyle runs throughout the day and intermissions of drit car racing, and the fans loved every second! 8 monsters (Grave Digger, Bigfoot, Maximum Destruction, American Guardian, AMSOIL Shock Therapy, Monster Mutt, Wolverine and Bounty Hunter) opened things up with a monster truck display on the smaller demo track and performed some exciting freestyle runs. Once the main show got started and after some exciting drift car runs, the monsters came out again during intermission on the big track and really aired it out. Some of the drift car drivers were even brave enough to let the trucks jump over their drift cars! and luckily no drift cars felt the rath of the monsters. It was a great day of action and we at the RCMTC would like to thank Bruckner Hobbies and all the fans that came out and watched that made the show possible. Be sure to check out some pictures and video of today's event, and thanks for for being with us here at rcmtcny.com for all the action. The drivers now have a month off before we get ready to roll with the 2012 Crawford Performance Points Series. Stay tuned!
